Setup Windows XP and Vista, to not play system sounds that may interfer with recording podcast, Internet radio, Pandora, etc.
Prevent Windows XP system sound from ruining speaker recording tutorial... when using PCWin Speaker Record to record from your speakers, Windows may play a system sound associated with a Windows event. Follow this tutorial to turn-off Windows system sounds.
In Windows XP select 'Start' button the click on 'Control Panel'.
If Control Panel is configure to 'Classic View', click on the 'Sounds and Audio Devices' icon (looks like a speaker). Once you've launched the Sound applet watch the presentation below.
If Control Panel is configured for non-Classic View (Category View), click on 'Sounds Speach and Audio Devices' icon link, then click on the 'Sounds and Audio Devices' link to launch the applet. Watch the presentation below to learn how to setup Windows XP and Vista's Sound Scheme to 'No Sound'.
Once you succesfully launched the Windows Sound applet from control panel you're
